cars b/c it will cause the car to run warmer than it already does. now if you live in canada and never get above 70deg, then it probly won't hurt you. Basicly an fmic is just another obstruction in the way of airflow getting to the radiator. Since our engine bay is so compact w/ such a low hood line, there isn't very much cool air in there to keep the engine temps down. adding an fmic will cause cool air to be warmed, then have to pass thru or around the oil cooler, then around the ac fan, then thru the condenser, then hit the radiator. Smic's is just a better design to keep our engines cooler.
